We build generations of Jesus followers who take grace to our world.
Our Mission
We build generations of Jesus followers who take grace to our world. This is our mission. This is who we are. This is what God has called us to do as a church family. Our city is unique, with a beautifully diverse population that grows by the day. Our city and our people have unique problems, deep needs and big questions. God’s answer is the local church. The church is the hope of the world. And as an expression of God’s design, our church family will constantly labor to train generations of disciples, sending them out on God's mission.
Our Expanded Mission
Build
We will develop a culture of disciples who are passionate about making other disciples.
We will do this by:
- Equipping leaders in all ministries
- Offering groups for every stage of life
- Developing opportunities for cross-generational mentoring and one-on-one discipleship
Follow
We will depend on Him to use what we have for the benefit of others.
Take
We will connect the relevance of the Gospel to the felt needs of our city and world.
We will do this by:
- Creating specific opportunities to reach our neighbors, colleagues, and friends
- Connecting every person to at least one mission opportunity per year
- Highlighting Recovery & Support Ministries in our surrounding community
Our Core Values
The following eight values are the foundation of all we do. They form the immovable biblical core of our church identity and mission focus.
Free Grace
We value grace, God’s free gift of unconditional acceptance, love and favor, as the means of salvation, the motivation for the Christian life and the model for our relationships with others. (Ephesians 2:4-10; 2 Corinthians 9:8-9; 1 Peter 4:10)
Relevant Biblical Teaching
We value relevant biblical teaching that penetrates our hearts, renews our minds and transforms our lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Colossians 3:16-17)
Genuine Worship
We value genuine worship that proclaims the glory of God and celebrates His presence in our lives, both individually and together as a church family.
(John 4:22-25; Psalm 100)
(John 4:22-25; Psalm 100)
Christ-centered Families
We value Christ-centered families and the partnership we share with parents in helping children and students grow spiritually. (Genesis 2:21-25; Ephesians 5:22-33; I Peter 3:1-7; Deuteronomy 6:6-9; Ephesians 6:1-4)
Sacrificial Service
We value sacrificial service that uses personal resources and abilities to serve God and others. (John 13:12-18; Romans 12:4-8; Galatians 5:13-15)
Authentic Community
We value authentic community characterized by unconditional acceptance, vulnerable sharing, mutual care, accountability and spiritual growth. (Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:23-25; Ephesians 4:1-4; 1 John 4:7-11)
Compassionate Outreach
We value compassionate outreach that expresses the love, life and message of Christ to our neighbors and to our community. (2 Corinthians 9:8-11; 1 Timothy 6:17-19)
Strategic Missions
We value strategic missions that mobilize home grown missionaries, national pastors, financial resources, purposeful projects and personal involvement to maximize our impact for Christ in focused areas of the world. (Matt 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)
Church Safe Team
The Church Safe Team at Faith Bible is a special and diverse team that exists to practically express our desire for transparency, justice and healing for victims of sexual misconduct within our church. The Church Safe Team is a group of church members, independent of church leadership, who desire to be a safe place for those who may have been harmed by a church volunteer or staff person. We have many internal and interpersonal safeguards to prevent such an event, but our desire for complete transparency and accountability would not be complete without this team and invitation. The Church Safe Team will compassionately come alongside you to hear your concerns and work toward a proper resolution of your situation. To confidentially report an incident please call the church safe team at 281-643-3173.
