Meet Lillee Melton
Meet Lillee Melton
My name is Lillee Melton. I am 10 years old and have two siblings. We also have 2 dogs and my sister just got a fish. My parents both had Covid-19 after Christmas. With the rules that the school has, I had to do online school and it was not fun. It was very hard for me.
Whenever Covid hit everywhere and school went to online it was really hard for me to focus and do my work. I would get distracted easily because I wanted to go play with my brother and sister. Then when church was only online, I couldn't serve in the coffee area. I started serving there with my little brother and just talking to people. We would clean up the area and talk to people as they made coffee or tea. Now that the coffee is still not open at church, I had to improvise and open a door and greet people on Sunday mornings.
Since we were home so much, I started to learn how to bake and cook more. I can even make chocolate chip cookies now without the recipe. My family and I went on more bikes rides than ever. We played games, watched movies, played with legos, and even cooked fancy big meals. That is when I realized that there are some good things that have come from this time. I am so thankful that I have been able to hang out with my family. God taught me that there is a bright side all the time, I just have to change my attitude and my thoughts.
