A Message From Amy Cargle

Dear Church Family –

It feels like we have spent most of 2020 in quarantine at this point!  I miss seeing you and gathering at the church together. I spent some time at the church this past week and my heart ached to be back in the sanctuary, worshiping and praising together. I look forward to that first Sunday back!

I also miss being in the office throughout the week, so today, I want to brag on our staff. I am sure many of you are familiar with the lists of the top places to work. To land a spot on those lists, companies must meet such criteria as a clear vision and identity, honest communication/transparency, a culture of collaboration, a fun atmosphere, and passionate people. As a church, we can add building the Kingdom of God as a criterion.

In my time on staff, I can tell you that Faith Bible has risen to the number one spot in my career. I attribute much of that to our staff and the culture we have built. As we moved into quarantine in March, our staff did not miss a beat. They adapted to working from home almost immediately. They stepped up to help in any way they could—much of which was outside of their regular job description. They are passionate about building the Kingdom and our community. They love our church family and seek to serve and connect with them in unique and creative ways. We have fun together and they feel like family. We laugh and we cry together. We work through the difficult times and celebrate victories together.

You have seen the fruits of their creativity during this quarantine time through daily posts, videos, podcasts, pictures, resources, and phone calls. There is also staff maintaining the building and working hard there throughout the week to ensure our facilities are ready to go when we return. I am so thankful you have had the opportunity over the past two Sundays to see some of our staff members give the Sunday announcements. They are usually working hard behind the scenes throughout the week and on Sundays. Some of our staff family have worked for the church for over 10 years, while some are brand new! Regardless of the number of years serving, our staff has stepped up to serve the church during this time. I am thankful for them—thankful for their hearts and for their love of others.

As I think of our staff, I am reminded of two verses. First, Philippians 2:3 – Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others about yourselves. And then, John 15:12 - My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. I see our staff living out both of these verses. As you pray for our church during this time, please include our staff members who are working at full capacity from their homes and behind the scenes. They do not serve our church family out of selfish ambition or conceit, but rather to serve others because of their deep and abiding love for them and to build God’s Kingdom.

You can find a complete list of our staff at this link. I encourage you to pray over them individually and collectively as a team.
