Baptism Celebration Discussion Questions
“19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” [1]” (Matthew 28:19–20, NASB 95)
Discussion notes are usually about a single sermon, but today, we have fifteen! We were blessed to see fifteen people declare their new life in Christ by being baptized before our congregation. Praise God! Every life represents a story of transformation and new birth that is uniquely offered through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Jesus ordained believer’s baptism in His Great Commission. The word βαπτίζω (baptizo) means ‘immersion,’ and it symbolizes both our own death and resurrection and the cleansing we receive from our sins. So good!
